Cystic Fibrosis shouldn’t be a barrier to fun, independence and travel – and that’s why we’re here to help.
Ali’s Gift provides grants to help people living with Cystic Fibrosis follow their passions through study, to overcome challenges and to create lifelong memories through life experiences.
We know life with Cystic Fibrosis is tough beyond words and that’s why we will consider every grant application we receive.
The types of grants we’ve funded in the past:
When applying, we ask applicants to tell us what would make a difference to their lives and why.
People with CF face a range of difficulties that extend beyond simply living with symptoms of the condition or managing extensive treatment routines. Yet, the challenge of everyday life with CF can go unnoticed by others because of its invisible nature.
That is why it is so fantastic that Ali’s Gift acknowledges the hard work involved with having the condition and the achievements that can be made. I had a wonderful and relaxing spa day for my gift. The day gave me the opportunity to unwind and forget about my CF and the stress of looking after myself for a while.
We invite anyone with Cystic Fibrosis to apply for a gift from us.
So that we can spread the gift giving fairly, you can only be approved for one gift. If your application is unsuccessful, please leave it a year before trying again.
You can nominate yourself or someone else can apply on your behalf (we regularly get nominations from social workers, family and friends).
If you’re not sure if you are eligible, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with us by emailing contact@alisgift.com – we love to hear from you!
We award grants up to the value of £500 but, depending on the situation, we will sometimes consider making a larger gift to help you achieve your ambitions with education or employment.
The Trustees are more likely to award a grant if it will cover the full cost of the item or course. If the grant will not cover the full cost, please explain how you will pay the difference (eg. with savings, family support, or another charity).
Unfortunately, we have limited funding and we may not be able to help with everything you have asked for, especially where items are of a high value.
It’s simple, just follow these simple instructions to begin your application.
We look forward to hearing from you soon!
